East Palestine Internet, Inc.

1. What makes
EPI any better than any other ISP?
EPI provides local
access to all 426 telephone exchange numbers and to all of Columbiana County
that can reach the 227 exchange with a local call. Our connection to the Internet
has no hubs therefore it allows your modem to run as fast as your local phone
lines will allow. EPI routinely checks line traffic and bandwidth to insure
the optimum speed and connectability for its dial-up customers.
2. What type
of contracts does EPI offer?
EPI currently offers three types of contracts for their dial-up customers.
Monthly Contract: Cost
$19.95, you can cancel at any time and will receive you invoice
monthly either through the mail or via email whichever you prefer.
Semi-Annual Contract: Cost $100.00, you will receive an invoice
only twice a year and save $20.00 over the yearly cost of
your Internet service.
Annual Contract: Cost $200.00, you receive only one invoice annually and save $40.00 over the monthly contract on a yearly basis.
3. Does EPI
accept credit cards?
Unfortunately, not at this time. To keep costs down and pass these cost savings
onto our customers we can not currently accept credit cards.
4. What modem
speeds are compatible with EPI?
EPI has purchased the newest hardware available and strive to keep our service
the fastest connection available. We can run as fast as your modem and telephone
lines will permit. Our current standard is for 56k modems to give our customers
the fastest speed currently available.
5. What are
local plus charges?
Local plus charges are the charges you incur when dialing outside of your
local area, but not as far as a long distance call. These charges are paid
to your telephone company and are not part of you internet bill. Local charges
vary by region. The following chart shows customer local plus charges for
your region A.
| Time | 8 am - 9 pm weekdays | 9 pm - 8 am weekdays, weekends & holidays |
| First Minute | 4 cents | 2 cents |
| Additional Minutes | 1 cent | .08 cents |
